A Set of Five Custom-Sized Mats for a Woombye Home

After a new carpet installation, what do you do with the leftover pieces? A customer in Woombye, Sunshine Coast, had a great idea. Instead of letting a beautiful carpet remnants go to waste, they came to us to have them transformed into a set of five custom-sized mats.

This project is a fantastic example of getting the most out of your new carpet. Our team measured and cut each piece to the exact sizes required for different areas of their home. The custom dimensions were:

• 1.93m x 0.46m

• 1.37m x 0.76m

• 1.06m x 0.46m

• 0.81m x 0.41m

• 0.73m x 0.41m

Once the cutting was complete, we applied our signature overlocking. This process, also known as carpet edging, gives each mat a clean, durable border that prevents fraying. The result was a perfectly fitting set of mats with a beautiful colour-matched finish.
