Buderim Carpet Overlocking: Custom Runner & Mats Made from Carpet Offcuts

At Carpet Overlock King, we believe every piece of carpet deserves a new lease on life. Our recent project for a lovely Buderim customer perfectly illustrates how we help homeowners on the Sunshine Coast find sustainable solutions for their homes using their carpet offcuts. The customer brought us their quality carpet offcuts, originally wanting a hallway runner and two doormats. We cut the main runner to 2.3m x 0.75m and crafted the two initial mats, one at 0.8m x 0.6m and one at 0.9m x 0.6m. There was still a decent, usable remnant left over.
Instead of letting that piece go to waste, we contacted the customer to see if they'd like it transformed into a bonus mat at 1.3m x 0.35m. They were delighted, confirming it would be perfect in front of their sliding door. In the end, we crafted four perfectly sized pieces - a runner and three custom mats with professionally overlocked edges (great colour match with the edging!). It’s fantastic to see every piece put to use, adding floor protection and comfort across their home.
