Carpet Overlocking Sunshine Coast: Creating a custom 2m Circle Rug and Four Mats from a Carpet Offcut

At Carpet Overlock King, we don't just overlock - we maximise value. Our recent project for a Sunshine Coast customer perfectly showcases how we transform carpet offcuts into high-quality, functional floor coverings with a minimal-waste approach.
The customer originally planned for us to craft a custom circle rug and two matching mats from their remnants. However, as we started the process, we found a decent, usable piece of offcut remaining. After a quick discussion, the customer decided to turn it into two additional mats, ensuring the entire remnant found a perfect purpose in their home.
The Custom Collection: Five Perfect Pieces
This project resulted in a stunning set of five pieces, all cut to size from the original large carpet offcut and professionally finished with durable and neat carpet overlocking (carpet edging).
Custom Circle Rug: 2m diameter.
Four Custom Mats: 1.8m x 0.5m, 0.8m x 0.5m, 1.2m x 0.5m and 0.85m x 0.7m.
This is a true win for sustainability and cost-effectiveness. Instead of potentially taking valuable material to landfill, these custom-sized mats and rug now add stylish protection and comfort throughout the house.
