Crafting a Custom Rug for a Maroochydore Home

At Carpet Overlock King, we love bringing our Sunshine Coast customers' visions to life, and sometimes that involves a bit of a colour adventure! We recently had the pleasure of working with a client in Maroochydore on a project crafting a new rug.

The brief was for a 3.4m x 2.7m rug to perfectly fit their living space. They had selected a beautiful new carpet for the job, which came in a rather unique shade of brown. Our team cut the new carpet to the dimensions required, ensuring every edge was perfectly straight and ready for finishing. Then came fun part – the overlocking (edging). We sourced and selected a wool that provided the closest and most complementary match to the distinctive brown hue (there were very limited options!).

It's one of those colours that really needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. While we're thrilled with the final result and how neatly the overlocking frames the rug, we have to admit the photos and lighting just don't quite capture the subtle nuances of the brown and the colour matching we achieved. Trust us, in person, it's a stunner!
