Custom Runner & Mats from Carpet Offcuts in Buderim

At Carpet Overlock King, we believe in making the most of your carpet. We were thrilled to partner with a resourceful customer in Buderim, Sunshine Coast, who wanted to utilise the leftover carpet offcuts from their recent installation, turning them into a practical and sustainable set of custom mats and a runner.
Making the most of the available offcuts, we measured nd cut them to size. The final dimensions achieved were:
A long runner at 3.98m x 0.75m
Mat 1 at 1.5m x 0.95m
Mat 2 at 1.5m x 0.72m
Once cut to size and the corerns rounded, the essential final step was the finish. We used high-quality merino wool for the overlocking and ensured a close colour match to the carpet. This craft, also known as carpet edging, provides a durable, clean, and polished border that secures the edges to prevent fraying, and increases longevity of the mats and runner.
