From Offcuts to Custom: 10 Mats for a Caloundra Home

What happens to all those leftover pieces after a new carpet installation? For a customer in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, the solution was to be resourceful. Rather than letting perfectly good and large carpet offcut go to waste, they brought it to us at Carpet Overlock King to be transformed into a set of ten custom-sized mats, each tailored to fit a different area of their home.

Once the precise cutting was complete, the essential final step was to provide a professional finish with our signature overlocking. We used high-quality merino wool for the edging, which provided a clean, durable, and polished border. This process, also known as carpet edging, not only prevents fraying but also elevates the look of each mat, and increase the longevity of those for years to come.

The result was a perfectly tailored collection of custom mats that fit the client's Caloundra home precisely, offering both protection and a cohesive aesthetic.
