At Carpet Overlock King, on the Sunshine Coast, we're passionate about giving carpet offcuts a second life. We recently had a wonderful opportunity to do just that for a local customer who was keen on a sustainable solution for their carpet offcuts.
These offcuts were destined for landfill – a common fate for leftover carpet after an installation. However, this resourceful Sunshine Coast resident contacted us with a fantastic idea: could we transform these discarded pieces into useful custom-sized mats?
Absolutely! The customer had a vision for three specific sizes, and we got to work. First, we carefully measured and cut each piece of the carpet offcut to the dimensions required. Then, using carpet overlocking service, we expertly finished the edges of all three mats.
The result? Three durable, practical, and stylish custom mats, all created from material that would have otherwise gone to waste. This project perfectly highlights the power of repurposing and the positive impact it can have on our environment.
