Finding the perfect entryway mat can be a challenge, especially when you have a specific vision in mind. We recently had the pleasure of helping a repeat customer in Doonan, Sunshine Coast, who was on the hunt for a circle mat for her entryway but couldn't find anything on the market that was quite right.
So, she came to us with a new carpet off-cut and a simple, elegant idea. The project was to transform the offcut into a custom-made 1.8m diameter circle mat that would be a stunning centerpiece for her entryway.
Our team got straight to work, meticulously cutting the carpet into the perfect circular shape. Once the sizing was perfect, we applied our professional carpet overlocking to the perimeter. This crucial process, also known as carpet edging, transforms a simple offcut into a finished, durable piece that will last for years.
The result was a beautiful, one-of-a-kind mat for her space. This project is a great example of how carpet overlocking can provide a bespoke solution when off-the-shelf options just won't do.
