Transforming Leftovers: Custom Mats in Maleny

At Carpet Overlock King, we're experts at turning leftover carpet into functional and beautiful pieces for homes across the Sunshine Coast. We recently completed a fantastic project for a client in Maleny who had three carpet off-cuts they wanted to make use of.
Rather than letting the off-cuts go to waste, this resourceful customer chose to give them a new purpose. The goal was to transform them into a set of custom-sized mats to serve different areas of their home.
Our team got to work, cutting each piece to the dimensions required:
One mat at 1.75m x 0.53m
One mat at 1.12m x 0.55m
Two smaller mats at 0.6m x 0.38m
With the cutting complete, the essential final step was to provide a professional finish with our signature overlocking using a wool that is a close colour match. This process, also known as carpet edging, provides a clean, durable border that prevents fraying and ensures the mats will last for years to come.
The result was a perfectly tailored set of mats that fit the client's home. This project is a great example of how our carpet overlocking services can provide a practical, sustainable, and custom solution for any home.
